01.03.99.R0.06 Award on Completion of Doctoral Degree

Supplements System Policy

 

1. Currently employed faculty who earn the doctoral degree should be recognized as having achieved an important level of professional development that increases their value to the university and to their profession. In recognition of this achievement, that faculty member’s rank and salary shall be reviewed and adjustments shall be made as appropriate.

2. Any salary increase is subject to approval of the president, upon recommendation of the department head, dean, and vice president of academic affairs. Eligibility for this award will be limited to tenured and tenure-track faculty who earn the doctorate in the discipline in which they are teaching.
