Freshman Success Seminar


Listed as CAS, CBT, and CED 111: Critical Thinking. A three-hour credit elective course. Designed to give students the opportunity to learn and adapt methods to promote their success at the university. Topics covered are thinking skills, study skills, and life skills and resources. Typically, students completing the coursehave lower drop out rates, obtain higher GPA's, demonstrate increased involvement and exhibit heightened levels of self-responsibility than those not taking CAS 111.

Students who are in Mayo College will take a Freshman Success course which is clustered with other classes and a reserved residence hall assignment.
